Abstract

This course allows students to understand the processes, roles and functions defined in COBIT ® as well as a preparation for the “COBIT Foundation” exam of ISACA.  The COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and related Technology) is a reference model for auditing and controlling information systems.  COBIT provides a multi-criteria approach to understand and manage risk and investments related to information technology.  The presentation will be accompanied by case studies and examples from the speaker’s experiences.  Throughout the training, participants are invited to answer questions, similar to the official investigation, in groups and individually on each of the areas.

  • Anyone wishing to pass the COBIT ® Foundation certification exam and deepen the concepts and basic knowledge of the governance of information systems
  • Auditor of Information Systems

Day 2: Practice with COBIT controls

  • Control practices (continued)
  • COBIT Management guide
  • The complementary components of COBIT (COBIT Security Baseline, COBIT and Sarbanes-Oxley, COBIT Online, COBIT Quickstart)
  • Preparing for the COBIT Foundation exam

Examination and Certification

  • The certification exam COBIT Foundation is not included with the training. To register for the examination one must go on the official site of ISACA (www.isaca.org)
  • The COBIT Foundation Certification is based on a multiple choice questionnaire of 40 questions.  - Duration: 60 minutes
  • Examination of the COBIT Foundation is available in English

General Information

  • A copy of COBIT 4.1 will be provided to each participant
  • A 14 CPE (Continuing Professional Education) participation certificate will be issued to participants
